Dear Friends

I wanted to let you know of a tremendous loss to this community and the loss of a very good friend,  Bill Horn.  (He was my son's pediatrician.) Bill died Saturday morning after a long battle with cancer.  He was a pillar of this community and a wonderful friend to and advocate for the teenagers in Watauga County.  He also started the Hunger Coalition here. He had hoped to attend our reunion this past June, but was hospitalized at the time. 

His memorial service (A Celebration of Life) will be at Boone United Memorial Church on Sunday, December 18 at 3 PM, with a reception following.
