Big Dance. The show will be live on ESPN from 8-9pm to announce the

Technically on the bubble, the Tar Heels are still predicted to make it
into the NCAA tournament according to Charlie Cream's Bracketology at
ESPN. View his latest predictions
here.
Tech Tip: Move your mouse cursor over each team (do not click,
just hover) on the bracketology page and a description of why they are
in that spot should pop up.
Also,
just above the bracket, is a link to Charlie's latest column which
describes some of the decision making process. In his March 1 column he
made the case for UNC making the tournament. Read about it
here.
The March 8 update is
here.

There is conflicting information concerning the time of this show. As
of this writing the ESPN schedule shows 8pm for the selection show,
however, the original NCAA announcement
here
lists

Where are the students?
 |
|
In most of the first 10 home
games, students were noticeably absent. The ratio of fans to students
exceeded 50 to 1 at several games.
Some say the students only come when there are promotions or to have
"fun." This seems to be the most serious missing factor in the
attendance stats.
This is a trend nationwide, not just at UNC. We
need your ideas about how to energize the students. Contact us!
Isn't it great when they do come! |
