TEAM TEMPO Update
January 8, 2009
Calendar
Thursday, January 8th
Our undefeated, nationally ranked #02 Tar Heels begin their
2009 Conference season at Clemson at 7 p.m. Those of us who cannot travel
to Death Valley can listen to the game on WCHL 1360 AM or sign onto the
official UNC Women’s Basketball
web site to watch it live for a small fee.
Sunday, January 11th
Will a victory over NC State on Sunday earn Coach Coach
Hatchell her 800th career win? Join us at the game for
the thrill of victory, not the agony of defeat. Those who cannot attend may
watch the game on RSN or sign onto the official UNC Women’s Basketball
web site for other options. Meet in the front of Entry D at halftime to
fellowship! TEAM TEMPO’s discounted member tickets for this event are
sold out.
Monday, January 12th
Meet and greet your fellow TEAM TEMPO members at 6:30 p.m.
before Coach Hatchell’s 8 p.m. Radio Show! Be sure to bring your digital
camera so that we can not only record the party atmosphere as we celebrate
her 800th win, but we can also gather photos for our web site!
Bus Caravan to Away Games
According to the UNC Ticket Office, there is a limited supply
of tickets available for the $25 bus caravan to the NC State game at 7:00
p.m. on Monday, February 23rd and the Duke game at 5:00 p.m. on
Sunday, March 1st. Sign onto the UNC Women’s
Away Game web site today to order your tickets! The price of the
caravan includes your admission ticket to each game!
TEMPO TALK
Recruit! Recruit! Recruit!
As Coach Hatchell would tell us, recruiting is the lifeblood
of her success. Let’s continue to build the membership of TEAM TEMPO. Tell
everyone you know about our grassroots organization. We are committed to
supporting UNC Women’s Basketball and want to meet others who have the same
passion. If you know of other supporters, Rams Club members, faculty, staff,
students, relatives, former players, coaches, or managers – ask them to
join us and to visit our
TEAM TEMPO today! There is power in numbers!
Member Survey – “Let your
voice be heard!”
Unfortunately, in the haste to create a new web site before
the launch of the 2009 season, we experienced technical problems during the
first few days our members accessed the member survey web page. We believe
that we lost several of your responses. If you signed a form to join TEAM
TEMPO and we have not received your survey, you will receive an email from
us soon requesting that you spend 5-10 minutes of your time telling us (and
others in the UNC marketing effort) what you think! A marketing survey is
essential as it is the gauge of effectiveness and the first step to
marketing success. We need to know what you want TEAM TEMPO to accomplish
to increase attendance and how you visualize us embracing the UNC Women’s
Basketball program.
Please complete the
member survey!
Business Cards Available
If you would like business cards to promote TEAM TEMPO, meet
us 30 minutes before the game at the base of the steps in front of Entry
A. Our production cost is $5/per hundred. Since we are not a fundraising
group nor are we purposed to have many expenses, we appreciate your donation
to cover our cost. We have also attached the .pdf file to print the cards
if you prefer to produce your own!
Your Ideas and Skills are
Needed
How should we identify each other at public events? Should we
wear badges, lanyards, or name tags? Similar apparel or hats? Suggestions?
What is your talent or gift? Would you like to learn new
skills to help TEAM TEMPO? We are empowering everyone to assist the effort.
Volunteer in your area of comfort. Do you enjoy computers, talking on the
phone, drafting letters, working with charities, chatting with senior
citizens or youth groups? Please
contact us so we may match you up with another member to get you into
action-mode to increase the attendance!
Commentaries Welcome
Feedback is essential for success. Please
contact us whenever you have a constructive suggestion or critique! We
need your support AND your feedback!
As
always, a sincere THANKS for your time and effort.
The
team and coaches are MOST appreciative…
