Heller (Learfield Sports and “Voice of the Tar Heels”) will chat with the
Hall-of-Fame Coach on WCHL-1360 AM. TT members come early at 6:30 p.m. to
eat, fellowship, and have fun! The show begins at 8:00 p.m.
Friday,
January 16th
Our undefeated, nationally
ranked #02 Tar Heels will battle at 8:30 p.m. against ACC foe, Virginia. UVA
brings their All-American candidate, Monica Wright, and All-ACC performer,
Lyndra Littles, to Chapel Hill to try to stop our fast break. Let’s fill up
the arena and cheer our Tar Heels on to victory in this important conference
game. Those who cannot attend may watch the game on RSN or sign onto the
official UNC Women’s
Basketball web site for other options. Note: You don’t want to
miss the halftime entertainment – the ZOOperstars! are in town. Bring your
camera and children!
Monday,
January 19th
The Huskies of Connecticut
are in town for the BIGGEST national game of the season at 7:00 p.m.! Coach
Auriemma has the #01 ranked team that features All-American and Player of
the Year candidate, Maya Moore. Their overall team depth and scrappy style
will be a challenge to our Tar Heels. Be there to witness history as our
team pushes the ball up court and rebounds with a vengeance to upset the Big
East leaders. Those who cannot attend may watch the game on ESPN2 or sign
onto the
official UNC Women’s
Basketball web site for other options.

Do you want to read about the
Tar Heels from a player’s perspective? Iman McFarland, our hard-working post
player, has agreed to be our featured writer this season. Did you know that
Iman enjoys chicken and pasta before games? She also thinks Morgan Freeman
is the best actor! Check out her first post on the web site TODAY!

marketing efforts and direct your groups to UNC’s ticket office (Emily
Cozart - 1-800-722-4335 or 919-962-2296) to receive group discounts as noted
above.
PA/Video Board Recognition -
To show appreciation for group support, UNCAA (Athletic Department) will

Parking/Bus Instructions -
Along with the added benefit of having ample seating in the Smith Center
this year for all home games, comes ample parking. The Skipper Bowles Lot
as well as the Manning Lot are conveniently located in close proximity to
the Smith Center for general public parking. If you and your group will be
traveling via bus, please contact Sarah Humphries at
shumphri@uncaa.unc.edu
in order to make the appropriate arrangements in advance of the game that
you and your group will be attending.
Media Volunteers Needed
To increase our impact, we
need TEAM TEMPO members to read the newspapers following each game AND
contact the journalists to express their opinions. If the article and
coverage was great – give them a compliment! If the coverage was inadequate
or inappropriate, be professional and give them feedback. We want the
Triangle media to know that we care about media support and we value our Tar
Heels. Let us know if you are able to stay abreast of our team in the
media. Contact
teamtempo@meridians.us
TODAY!
Recruit! Recruit! Recruit!
As Coach Hatchell would tell
us, recruiting is the lifeblood of her success. Let’s continue to build the
membership of TEAM TEMPO. Tell everyone you know about our grassroots
organization. We are committed to supporting UNC Women’s Basketball and want
to meet others who have the same passion. If you know of other supporters,
Rams Club members, faculty, staff, students, relatives, former players,
coaches, or managers – ask them to join us and to visit our TEAM TEMPO
web site TODAY!
There is power in numbers!
Member Survey – “Let your voice be heard!”
A marketing survey is
essential as it is the gauge of effectiveness and the first step to
marketing success. We need to know what you want TEAM TEMPO to accomplish
to increase attendance and how you visualize us embracing the UNC Women’s
Basketball program.
Please to complete the member
survey!
Business Cards Available
If you would like business
cards to promote TEAM TEMPO, meet us 30 minutes before the game at the base
of the steps in front of Entry A at the Smith Center. Our production cost
is $5/per hundred. Since we are not a fundraising group nor are we purposed
to have many expenses, we appreciate your donation to cover our cost.
Your Ideas and Skills are Needed
How should we identify each
other at public events? Should we wear badges, lanyards, or name tags?
Similar apparel or hats? Suggestions?
What is your talent or gift?
Would you like to learn new skills to help TEAM TEMPO? We are empowering
everyone to assist the effort. Volunteer in your area of comfort. Do you
enjoy computers, talking on the phone, drafting letters, working with
charities, chatting with senior citizens or youth groups? Please
contact us so we
may match you up with another member to get you into action-mode to increase
the attendance!
