WOW!
According to one very early, preseason poll, the Lady Tar Heels will be
ranked #3 in the country when polls are published in October. That's after
finishing in 17th place last spring.
With
the return of an incredible group of seasoned players, with the addition of
five new freshmen eager to join this popular team, with a renovated,
state-of-the-art facility in which to play, and with those “in the know”
expecting great fun and success, the 2009-2010 UNC Women's Basketball season
is a very special time to secure a seat in Carmichael. Who knows if this
year’s seat assignments will be the basis for future ones?
While
the schedule for the upcoming season has yet to be announced, it is likely
to include 16-18 games in Carmichael, including games with NC State, Duke,
and Maryland.
But the
best news is that if you order a season ticket before September 1st,
you can watch all the women’s games in Chapel Hill for $160 per seat. Wait
only one more day and the price increases to $180. And if you are 55 or
older or a high school or college student, the discount sales price is $120!
Support the Tar Heels and enjoy an amazing entertainment value!
Don't

TEAM TALK
Chay
Shegog appears in all nine games of 2009 U19 World Championship!
Chay
explains her exhilarating summer basketball experience to Team Tempo:
“USA
basketball was an amazing experience and the people that I met and played
with are unforgettable. Before we headed to Bangkok we had a week-long
training camp that consisted of two-a-day workouts, one in the morning and
one in the evening. These practices were always intense. They consisted of
a lot of drills and sprints, but my teammates were always positive and made
it all worthwhile.
Our
flight to Bangkok lasted 19 hours with a mid-way stop in Tokyo, Japan. The
flight to Japan consumed 10 hours but it didn’t seem that long because the
airlines played movies and I slept half of the time. The second flight from
Japan to Bangkok was the longest even though the distance was shorter than
the first one.

Bangkok
wasn’t the best country to visit and it made me appreciate the United States
more. We only went sight-seeing one day. We were able to walk around the
king’s palace and then we went to a few places to shop.
The USA
Team played exhibition games against France and Australia and won both,
however we lost our first game against Spain by 4. That was the worst
part of the trip!! But the best part was beating them in the
championship game!!!
Even
though I loved my U-19 USA team and the experience, two weeks in Thailand
was a little too long and I couldn’t wait to return home and get back to
