Several exciting events have been announced in
the past 24 hours so read this section closely!
Sunday, November 1, 2009 at 6:30 PM
The 2009-2010 basketball season is just
around the corner and the Carolina Women's Basketball team would like to
invite season ticket holders only to come get an early look at this
year's preseason #1 team in the Atlantic Coast Conference. Season ticket
holders are invited to come
Sunday,
November 1st from 6:30pm to 8:30pm at
the Dean E. Smith Center to watch the team practice and then stick around to
hear a special message from Coach Hatchell! UNCAA will provide pizza and
drinks to all who attend. Parking will be available in the Bowles lot as
well as the lot directly across the street from the Smith Center and we ask
that you come in through Entrance A.

October 30th at 12:00pm so that UNCAA may accurately

Breakfast. At 7:45 AM Coach Hatchell speaks and at 8:15 AM Coach Williams
speaks • The cost is $25 per person all inclusive.
Two great Coaches! Two great Programs! Tar Heel Team Tempo Members and
their Guests will enjoy a special treat and hear from UNC Coaches about two
powerhouse teams and their plans to compete for a championship. Please
note the start time! Seats are LIMITED! Great raffle prizes will be
drawn between speeches with all proceeds going to charity! A delicious full

Welcome to the first game of our season, an
Exhibition game against Francis Marion, Thursday, November 5, 7 PM at the
Dean Smith Center. Tickets to this event are NOT required. Meet fellow Tar
Heel Team Tempo members at our welcoming table inside the stadium entrance!
Tuesday, November 10, 2009 at 7 PM
Our second game of the season is also an
Exhibition game, this time against Carson-Newman, Tuesday, November 10 at 7
PM at the Dean Smith Center. Tickets to this event are NOT required. Meet
fellow Tar Heel Team Tempo members at our welcoming table inside the stadium
entrance!
NOTE: Our Events Committee has re-scheduled
pregame get-togethers at Time Out Sports Bar in the Holiday Inn near
Eastgate to start after Christmas. Until then they plan to help man the new
Tar Heel Team Tempo welcoming table at the games! Come see them there!

The first issue of FULL COURT PRESS
Congratulations to Debby Stroman,
Antoinette Lecky, and Debby’s passionate students for publishing the first
issue of their newsletter, FULL COURT PRESS. Great name! Click

Great News! Jessica Breland just completed
her final chemo treatment and she is Cancer Free! Jessica is such an
inspiration to us all. Through her six month bout with Chemo treatments,
Jessica has had a winners’ spirit and has kept her head high. Just last
night she was at practice encouraging her teammates during our scrimmage
with our male practice team. By the way, the team looked really good at
times and other times the women just reminded us of why we practice.
J We have our next scrimmage
with our male practice players Sunday, Nov. 1 at 7 PM. Special thought:
Philippians 4:13 "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me."
Note: The final word on Jessica’s playing
status for the season is not due until December!
Season Tickets to be mailed on or before Wednesday, November 4th
Jonathan Miller,
Assistant Director of Ticket Operations, reports to us that they will mail
Women's Basketball season tickets on or before Wednesday, November 4th.
Parking passes for those who qualify will also be mailed around that same
day.

Membership Committee Report: From Bill Poteat
As a member of Tar Heel Team Tempo, please ask your friends who are fans of
UNC Women’s Basketball to join us in our efforts to increase home game
attendance. Forward this e-newsletter to them with an encouraging note.
Tell them about our ultimate objective to fill the arena for home games in
support of our wonderful team. And don’t forget to tell them that by
joining Tar Heel Team Tempo they will have access to fun events with other
fans and with the UNC Women’s Basketball program.
Keep an eye out! Thanks to the 70 members who replied to our email
request to update their membership information. For the rest of you, watch
out! You will receive a second request shortly! When you reply to that
email, you will automatically renew your membership in Tar Heel Team Tempo
for this 2009/2010 season.
Treasurer’s Blog: From Gary Triplett
November 5th continues to creep up on us and the excitement is
growing. I can’t wait to see the Fabulous Freshman on the court. I know
that they cannot wait to see you in the stands cheering them on against
Francis Marion.
As for Tar Heel Team Tempo, we are busy trying to get our organization off
the ground, get our great fans to attend the games and of course, planning
some great events for our membership. I have been told that many of you
would give if the contributions were tax-deductible. The Committee
understands and we are working as hard as we can to make that happen, but
even doing that requires funding. We need your assistance and if you are
able to contribute, please do so. The address is:
