Nearly perfect first half by UCONN crushes the Tar Heels
The Huskies used a 23-0
run to gain a 32 point half time lead. A heartbreaking 88-47 loss
for the Tar Heels becomes a chance to learn and grow and improve for
conference and tournament time. Read the UNCAA recap
here, the
ESPN recap

UCONN viewpoint

A
request from the UNCAA and the THTT Outreach Committee
The
Marketing and Promotions Office of UNCAA has asked Tar Heel Team
Tempo to help identify and encourage groups that would be interested
in group, discount purchases of individual game tickets. We have
starter lists of Middle/Elementary schools and of Retirement
Communities to visit.
There
are at least two ways you might help this project:
1)
Identify groups with which you are familiar that might be interested
in attending games and
2)
Volunteer your time to deliver materials promoting group sales to
interested groups.
Click
here
to email the THTT Outreach Committee your suggestions and level of
interest. |

Events Committee
Thanks to all those who came out to support our team last Saturday
at Champps. We had 40 fans, despite the fact that the game was
available nationally on CBS.
The Sunday, January 17th game against Maryland begins
at 5 PM at Carmichael. Because of the timing of this game, we will
not have a formal meal together at Time Out, though they will be
open and serving! Be sure to wear your Tar Heel Team Tempo buttons
to the MD game!
Our next
planned away game viewing party will be Monday, January 25th, at
Time Out, for the NC State game. Try to arrive between 6:30 and the
7:00 PM tip off to secure a good seat before ordering your food and
drinks. Time Out Sport Bar is our permanent location now! |
