New Traditions
The coaching staff requests
new game routines to energize both the team and the fans at home games.
Read previous issues of the BLAST
here
to learn more. Fans are doing well to stand until the first basket is
made, but more NOISE and ENERGY is needed. Clap, chant, cheer, but MAKE
SOME NOISE from the tip to the first basket. Pass the word to the rest
of your section. Also, REPEAT the efforts at the start of the second
half. |

And then there were
three... (Top 25 Polls)
At one point this season
there were 5 ACC teams in the top 25 rankings with two others receiving
votes. At least 8 different ACC teams (out of 12) have received votes
this year. With UNC dropping out of both the AP poll and the ESPN/USA
Today poll this week, there are only three ACC teams left in each
ranking. They are: Duke (#8/7) and Florida State (#10) along with
Georgia Tech (#19) in the AP poll and and Virginia (#18) in the ESPN/USA
Today poll. UNC is receiving votes in each poll. See the full listing
here. |

TEMPO TALK |
|
|
|
From the Chairman
To all my fellow members of
Tar Heel Team Tempo:
Our team is suffering
through a difficult stretch and has now lost five in a row. Although it
has not yet shown in the results, our team is getting better each and
every game. I remain convinced that our team is going to make a run at
the ACC Tournament title in March. I hope that you will join me in
Greensboro to enthusiastically cheer them to victory. In the meantime,
the end of the season is getting close and there are only three home
contests left. The first one is this Sunday versus NC State. This is one
of our biggest rivals and I know that Coach Hatchell is counting on us
to provide a great home team advantage, so please fill Carmichael with
Carolina Blue.
As we look down the road,
our Annual Meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, April 20th at Coach
Hatchell’s residence. Please circle the date on your calendar and we
will have more details on this exciting event soon.
Until next time, Go Heels!
Gary Triplett, President
Tar Heel Team Tempo, Inc. |
