such as bottom washing and painting are handled by the port office.
If other repairs are needed, a service organization operates within
the boat yard. BEWARE: If you use these services, you must
oversee every aspect of the service, including prep work before the actual
work. Personnel here including the owners are farmers, not boat
folks, and you must check on everything, from the work bid to the actual
materials used. Pretend that you are doing the job yourself! |

Almerimar is the best site for boat work
in the southern part of Spain. Rates are reasonable and services
available for the cruiser who cannot live on his boat for the duration of
the work on the boat. Although the newly built town lacks the charm
of older Spanish cities, many facilities allow the cruiser to enjoy his
time here. |
