Cangas/Vigo

Location: 42°15.5' N, 8°47' W

Anchorages:

At the corner of the quay in front of the ferry harbor, far enough away to avoid the wake from ferry

Marinas:

Club Nautico Rodiera Cangas; Avda de Bueu 1, Aptdo 110, 36940 Cangas de Morrazo, 986-304-246;  excellent rates for boats 12 meters and under;  VHF 06

Cruiser Amenities:

bulletTwo supermarkets;  one very good fresh market
Restaurant: Donana, Atranco 1, 986-303-111;  local "mom and pop" with excellent menu of daily specials

Transportation:

bulletFerry to Vigo for 1 euro each way per person;  0600 to 2200 every 30 minutes!
bulletEuropapcar Iberica at Estracion de Renfe (train station);  986-229-161;  we rented a compact car for three days for $90 all-inclusive except gas

SHIBUMI snuggled up to the sandy beach and away from ferry traffic:  0600 to 2000 on the half-hour

Of course, Cangas hosted a carnival during our stay with music all night and fireworks all day.

And Cangas followed the tradition of large parks for the children.

SHIBUMI settled in yet another beautiful beach anchorage adjacent to a great town!
